Creedinmysoul: Will you please....... Give a shout out to my 13 yr old daughter LeAnn. You have inspired her to play the guitar. Please? She's reading this and that would make her day!

Mark Tremonti: Thanks! It'll be something she'll always love if she sticks with it. Rock on LeAnn!

Steve: Hey Mark, I want to say thanks for taking the time to answer our questions, you guys must be pretty busy at the moment so we respect you guys for that. Anyway you have probably heard this a thousand times before but I want to thank you because you and your music was so inspirational to me and because of my love for your music I picked up the guitar. The first song I played was a really bad version of Whats this life for but it still sounded good to me What I would like to ask is are you guys coming to New Zealand next year? Thanks once again, for taking the time to answer our questions and for being my inspiration

MT: Actually we are! Probably around February or March. Keep playin'! Glad to hear you're doing well on the guitar.
* * *
Debi: How has seeing ground zero made you feel? When I saw it for the first time I was overwhelmed. Have you toured Ground Zero yet?

MT: I've only been here for a day and only seen the inside of studios. We're planning to go later this week and I'm sure it will be pretty intense.
* * *
sweetlildevil411: lol... I know this question is corny but i wanna know it anyway what's your favorite kind of jello?!!

MT: I don't like jello. But I do love pudding!
* * *
Debi: You look like you have really built up your arms and chest Have you been drinking milk?

MT: Protein shakes at the gym with some milk in it.
* * *
~cindi: ok mark...if you could be in one movie, what would it be and what character would you play? thanks!

MT: I'd be in the movie The Warriors and I'd be the gang leader of the Warriors.
* * *
kyle: Hey Mark, What are your favorite Metallica songs? I know Master Of Puppets is your favorite album, but I don't know your favorite songs. (personally, i like fade to black, master of puppets, and blitzkreig)

MT: my alltime favorite is the Call of C'thulu and coincidentally another instrumental is my favorite which is Orion.
* * *
SROCKN826: I heard y'all play live tonight and you sounded great! I love the song Weathered! How did it feel to play it live acoustic tonight?

MT: It felt good once it was all over, but I prefer not to perform acoustically. Probably because I love performing good and loud much better!
* * *
amonci: do you like any punk music? If so what bands do you like? I think I heard something about Black Flag? Any others?

MT: I love Black Flag, Bad Brains, Minor Threat, Agent Orange, Sex Pistols and a few others.
* * *
Suebee~SuesTremonti-: What do you like best... about playing in a band?? Sue

MT: Playing live.
* * *
Boston George: What are your favorite teams in Football (NFL), Hockey, Basebal, Basketball?

MT: Baseball=Seattle Mariners Basketball=The Wizards Hockey=Detroit Redwings Football--a tie between the Bucks and the Vikings
* * *
Todd: Hey Mark! I'm pretty sure that Brian used older Ampeg SVT models (I have a newer one and I must say that it is awesome!), and was wondering if you kept with tradition or tried something new? and what about any pedals, preamps, speaker cabs, etc..? I saw on one of the videos that you were playing a Fender 5 in one and then on your axe tour you showed the PRS 4, so that confused me a little. So what did you use? Thanks,

MT: I used a couple of different basses. I used the PRS, the Ernie Ball and the Fender 5 string, depending on which sounded the best for the song.
* * *
Karrie: Hi Mark! I just want to know, who taught you how to play guitar? I think you are so talented when you play and I can tell you pour your emotions into it. Thanks and good luck on SNL

MT: I'm self taught.
* * *
Cynt: X- BOX.... are you guys getting one for "on the road"?? Or do you prefer Playstation 2??

MT: I was supposed to pick up my X-box on Thursday, but was here in New York so I'll get it later. I also have a PS2 and I'm getting a Game Cube in a few days. As you can tell, I like video games.
* * *
Weathered_1: Hey Mark! A HUGE Thank You for doing this for the fans this week. You guys are awesome. My question..If given the chance to change the future for the better, be it world peace, gun control etc, what would you choose and why? I truly believe that musicians can make a difference in the world and wonder what your platform would be if you chose one. Thx again for ALL that you guys do.

MT: We are standing up for the anti-violence campaign in conjunction in the Police department. It's an important issue, particularly in schools over the last few years. We'll post more info on our involvement on our website soon.
* * *
DAZ: In an article floating around it said that you made a new years resolution to "try new foods", and just tried your first strawberry...did you like it? What foods did you try that you liked and which did you not like? My suggestions would be stay away from: Rocky Mtn. Oysters (never been able to look at a bull the same), Octopus (tentical soup..they were still moving!) and aligator meat (not BAD, but not GOOD either). Take it from me...none of those mentioned above taste like chicken! See what your fans do for you? They sacrifice their own taste buds!

MT: The strawberry was OK. Funny enough, last night I ate another strawberry, a mango, a rasberry, a grapefruit and an orange. Though i already liked grapefruit and orange.
* * *
amonci: Whose "Little Wing" was better? Hendrix or Stevie?

MT: I love Stevie Ray's, but where would he be without Hendrix's version? But if I was to play one, it would be Stevie Ray's.
* * *
Centauri: What was Kris Katan like? Did you get to meet him? I apologize if I spelled his name wrong, I can't remember how to spell it.

MT: Haven't met him yet. Sorry.
* * *
Krista: Ok this is reallllllly bugging me this is the one question I realllly need the answer too. What is it your doing when you perform Mark?? Your lips are moving but you don't seem to be singing the lyrics, what are you doing? Its so funny it kinda looks like your making faces at us or something!! So I was just wondering if you could confirm what is it you're doing. Thanks!!

MT: That's the crazy inner spirits from within trying to escape. When I look back at video tapes it shocks me too--I don't realize I'm doing it.
* * *
Jessica: Will ya'll come to Louisiana on your next tour? How do you get backstage passes? and finally, do you ever get tired of anwsering questions about your personal life with your girlfriend and family

MT: We'll definitely be in Louisiana next year. Backstage passes are pretty hard to come by. Doing what I do, I'm used to answering personal questions.
* * *
Roxy: Okay my mom is against Creed... What's a girl to tell her mom when she dislikes the best band in the world?

MT: What's wrong? We're a good wholesome band.
* * *
Brenda: I hope you can feel the love from Central Jersey. I caught your interview and set on K-Rock this evening. (Great set btw!) So are you guys going to wear the FDNY clothes they gave you on SNL?

MT: All they gave us were hats, and no hats seem to fit me. But I'm sure you'll see some American Flags!
* * *
Sue~: What is your greatest memory of you and your brothers, when you were younger? Ya know tree forts, christmas etc.... And thank you for the music......You rock the adidas!!!!!

MT: Playing D&D. We were fanatical about D&D.
* * *
D'Ann: Do your Mom and Dad listen to Creed? I was curious as to whether they like the same kind of music as I do......;) Thanks for being here with us!

MT: Yes. They're very proud and they love the music. They've always been great supporters.
* * *
jeserlinkchick: Being a rockstar. Do you live up to the whole rockstar life? Or is that to crazy for you?

MT: I try and stay pretty healthy. I like to be clear-headed.
* * *
Karrie: How much fan mail does Creed recieve? Do you guys get a chance to read a lot of it or do others sort it out for you? Just wondering...

MT: We receive a lot of mail, and we have a couple of people on staff who do nothing but make sure every letter gets read. We wish we could answer everybody individually, but its a LOT of mail!
* * *
gtrplayer19: What sports did u play as a kid? or in high school? and what sport did u enjoy the most? i play soccer

MT: I played soccer too!
* * *
Karrie: Hi Mark! Ever since Creed has become a huge hit, are you overwhelmed by all of the attention or are you getting used to it? Thanks for answering!

MT: It's overwhelming when you're out doing it, but I'm pretty laid back at home and lead a pretty normal life.
* * *
LilDarlin (Dee): if you did go out more... what would be one thing that you would want to do without being recognized?

MT: for fun, I like to go to Kisimee and do a 300 foot free fall.
* * *
Band Member: A few fellow fans and myself were planning on recording a Tribute Album. We were goin to record some of your songs and hopefully release it. For some reason Wind-Up put an immediate stop to the project. What do you think? Surley you could override Wind-Up's authority. CAN'T WAIT ONLY 3 DAYS and 5 Hours!!!!

MT: That's the music business man! I have nothin' to do with that kind of stuff.
* * *
Shootie: Hey Mark, What do you think of Creed fans recording a TRIBUTE ALBUM? "Thunder in the Distance - The Sound of Creed fans". We've been posting this question a lot of times. We just like to have your opinion on this. It would be great if you could answer. Thanx in advance for that.

MT: That would be awesome and I'd love to hear it!
* * *
Steve-o: What ever happens to those unrealeased songs? Are they just trashed, or do some make it to later albums. And if just trashed, would you guys ever at least put them up on the web site for people to hear or make an album of just unrealased songs?

MT: A lot of them are on b-sides, and we plan on gathering most of them up for the next album to come.
* * *
Creedgoddes VA: Make My Freakin year!!!Say Hi! You are the sweetest most down to earth guy, if any one of you guy's would respond I think it would be you! Me and my baby girl's rock with you guy's constantly (Hubby think's I'm a teenie bopper with a crush)!!Seriously, You guy's changed my life and will continue to do so! Love You guy's!!

MT: Hello Kim! Glad I could make your day! There's nothing wrong with being a teenybopper, but we're not really a teenybopper band Glad to hear you and your daughters enjoy the music. Take care!
* * *
Spiritdancer: How about a CREED Calender?

MT: There's an idea! Maybe we'll make some for next years tour.
* * *
Vanessa: I just wanted to know that when are you guys going to start touring for this album? Also I love the article in Guitar World, I really think that you deserved the award. One of your biggest fans.

MT: Thank you Vanessa. We are starting our tour January 15th in Lakeland, FL. We will play almost everywhere next year. Except for Afghanistan!
* * *
crusty: Hide is one of the most beautiful songs i have heard... even though the preveiw was really short, it still absolutely stunning...that bit when the verse kicks in, with out the drums....wow..that could be be really good with an orchestra...hey would you guys actually do that? Play with an orchestra? I know it sounds like you could be copying metallica but who cares..it would sound wicked...

MT: The orchestra sound is a great thing. The closest thing to that we did was the WAWO version with strings. But who knows what the future holds?
* * *
singlecut05: I know your first guitar was a gibson nock off but i dont know what your first amp was. NE HUSKERS #1

MT: I forget the name of my first amp. It was a plastic 10 watt thing with no back on it and it cost me 40 bucks. I soon after upgraded to a Crate.
* * *
dBarone: Hi, Mark, I hear you own dogs... And one of them is a Beagle? Is yours as bad our Sophie? Shes very vocal! What breeds do you have, they're names?

MT: My beagle's name is Bo. He howls all day for food. But we love him. We have two other dogs named Harley and Max.
* * *
DakotasSierra: what was the hardest thing that you ever had to learn to play on the guitar?

MT: Flamenco guitar. Very challenging. Mostly because of the strange tempos.
* * *
Becky in KY: First off, I want to say Creed is the best band ever! Thanks for the wonderful music, you truly are an inspiration!! NOW for my question! Mark, if you could have a jam session with anyone alive or dead...would you pick to play with??

MT: Stevie Ray Vaughan. No question about it.
* * *
Band Member: What is your favorite aspect of the Mark Tremonti Signature PRS? I'd love to get one, but I don't have that much money to spare right now. Mayebyou could give me one! LOL Well, I think it would be AWESOME if you had one that people (GUITAR PLAYERS) could sign up to win.

MT: The neck. The most important part of any guitar is the feel of the neck.
