CandyGirl: What part of a new album do you prefer, i.e. do you enjoy the touring aspect of the recording process better? and why? Thanks!
Scott Phillips: I would have to say that both are equally as fun and challenging. The studio side is where your creative juices flow, and the touring side is where your performance juices flow. So its a nice balance between the two.

Kristina: It's gotta be asked - Tremonti and Stapp answered... So, boxers or briefs?
SP: Boxers. Been a longtime boxers fan...

CreedNJ: Flip, do you get nervous before shows, either in concert or on TV or are you used to performing in front of large crowds? Do you enter a kind of "zone" where you're so focused that you don't notice the crowds? Thanks
SP: There's definitely of nervous energy before any performance, but its a good energy and it always fuels the fire to perform better.
* * *
ImACreedie: Sorry if this question has already been asked. ...Do you and the guys ever play practical jokes on each other while on tour? If so, care to share one?
SP: We definitely play practical jokes on each other, but the funniest things are when something happens that was unintended.

Omearta: Flip....any pets? Hey Scott......I'm sure I've probably seen this somewhere before...but due to my age and lack of memory...I seem to have fogotten....hehe I'm a proud owner of a wonderful yellow lab...and was curious if you had any pets. Do you have dogs? cuz I thought I read that you did. forgive my babbling....I'm not good at this....hehe
SP: I have two chocolate labs that I love as my children.

tally: What was the most memorable and least favorite experience about recording this CD!! BTW, Bullets is absolutely awesome!!! Can't wait until I can hear it live
SP: There were a whole bunch of memorable experiences throughout. Probably the most satisfying was the day we finished mastering the album and all looked at each other and said "it's done...I can't believe it." The least favorite would be that after finishing in the studio at 2 or 3 AM, we each had about a 1/2 hour drive home where you just thought and thought about everything you'd just done. Too much time to get obsessive on the drive home.

AllAboutCreed: Is it OK to take kids to a Creed Concert??? I have a 5-year old son and an 8-year old daughter who love Creed as much as their Mommy and Daddy do (well, almost)! We saw you guys in Marysville, CA a year ago and since then my kids have been begging us to take them to see you guys the next time you are in CA. My son loves to "rock out" to Creed, and my daughter understands the lyrics; however IT IS a rock concert... and I don't want to expose them to the "elements that go along with a rock concert" (i.e. the oh-so familiar concert "grass" smell, and I am not talking about the kind that grows in your front yard). I told them both I would ask them "Creed's opinion", and they could read the response if one was so graciously given..... so what do you think?? You guys ROCK!!!!! The best part of the "My Sacrifice" video is you pounding on the drums in the water... it looks like you are having fun!! Thanks - Lisa, Katie and Wyatt
SP: We as a band have been very conscious that our crowds vary in age from young kids to parents and grandparents. We as much as possible try to gear our show towards people of every age, but there's only so much that we as a band can control in our audience. However, being that most of our concerts are general admission we would hope that you would feel free to move into an area that you felt most comfortable while watching the show. Looking forward to seeing you soon!

Jamie: Hi Scott!!! Where is your favorite place to perform? Are there any cities that you always look forward to performing in? (Like San Antonio?? ;-) ) Thanks!!!
SP: Anywhere in Texas is my personal favorite! But there are a lot of cities around the country and the world that each have a special feeling for all 3 of us.

Lisa: OK..first I wanna say it was soo nice meeting you at the Sapphire in July, thank you so much for the picture. I have it hanging up in my schoolbus (I drive one) and the kids think it is really kewl!! OK, now my question....We heard that you and April finally tied the knot. Is that true? If so...congrats!!
SP: Thanks for asking, and yes we did tie the knot at the end of August.

Bryan: FLip, Double bass? I heard a little double bass towards the end of bullets.. if it indeed was a Double Bass.. is it in ne other osngs? I really wanna know thx FLIP!
SP: Yes, it is double bass. It happens in each of the choruses in Bullets. To the best of my recollection, that's the only place that its on the album.

Addicted 2 Tremonti { Tara }: Do your arms ever get tired during a show and what do you do about it if they do?
SP: Absolutely! It's actually something that I was dealing with today at the rehearsals for Saturday Night Live. The best thing I've found is to keep your forearms warm by rubbing them to get the blood flowing and get you ready for the next song.
* * *
HigherOne: did you risk any of your best equipment in the making of the My Sacrifice video? (in the water?)
SP: Some of it was my normal equipment, but the drums themselves was a kit that Premier graciously donated to "sacrifice" for the video.

Samantha_Creedsbiggestfan: In your spare time do you ever read Stephen King, and if you have read The 'Gunslinger series' what do you think?
SP: Unfortunately, I haven't had the chance to read much Stephen King in a very long time. If you recommend it, I'll pick that book up for the next tour.

Karen: Well an interview I heard Stapp was always doing Color Me Bad, do you do any songs like that?? Also, do you have any quilty pleasure songs that you would never really admit too??? Like "Rump Shaker" or something??? lol OH and when you were DJ on WYSP in Phila I still have that tape too "Mark would have kicked my (insert bad word here) if I didn't play any Metallica" did the guys listen when you were on? Thank you so much
SP: probably the only impersonation in a forum like that would be old Frank Sinatra tunes. And I have so many guilty pleasure songs, that I couldn't begin to mention them all.
* * *
Shells: Do you read this place on occassion...I'm fairly sure April is around every now and then, but does she fill you in, or do you read yourself?? Thanks for all you and the guys have done to change my life....you all are such an inspiration.
SP: Whenever I get a chance, I do like to get on the bulletin board and see what our fans are saying. I don't think April has actually been on the bulletin board, but we both do enjoy having a look when we can.

Sharon: Did you guys get the chance to see Ground Zero Yet?????? Hi Scott, I ask this question because: In my opinion until you actually see the site for yourself then reality sets in. I travel all over the country and internationally for my job and being I live at the Jersey Shore the media coverage seemed constant in this area. That being said, I still wasn't prepared when I went to the city 10 days after and saw the devastation, pictures and shrines that it just overwhelmed me. Just curious what your reaction was. Best of luck on "Weathered" and your upcoming tour.You guys have a great gift of making music. Hope you guys always stay grounded. Looking forward to a response.
SP: Yes. I've actually visited twice in the 2 days we've been here. It's almost become a ritual a night that we walk around the site before going to bed. You can't put into words the emotions you feel between sadness and anger and hurtfulness. It's absolutely unbelievable.
* * *
Cindi: if you could put yourself in one movie....... what movie would it be and what character would you play? thanks!
SP: There would have to be two movies. One would be Caddyshack as Chevy Chase's character, and the other would be Saving Private Ryan as any of those guys.
* * *
beck 16, ohio: if the band were to ever get a permanent replacement for Brian(excluding Brett) would you ever consider a female guitarist??? and if so what are your thoughts about it? Rock On
SP: If we made the decision to hire a permanent replacement, we would hire anybody with the right talent--male or female.

Chris: Flip, Creed has led me through the last couple of years with the uplifting lyrics that mean so much. I've seen you guys TWICE and nothing compares to a live Creed concert. So can you tell us if I'll have to wait a LONGGGGGG time to see you again in the US?
SP: January 15th is our kickoff date. We're not completely sure where the tour will start, but we will definitely cover every mile of the U.S. and hope to see you at one of those shows.
* * *
Debi: How many drumsticks do you go through in one show?
SP: Around 5 or 6 on average.
* * *
Dookie: Scott, Have you ever met anyone (celebrity wise) that has left you speechless?
SP: Early on, when we first met Eddie Van Halen my initial sentence to him took about a minute to get out because I stuttered through the whole thing. But since we've been doing this now for several years and have met many great people, we've begun to realize that they are just as "normal" as we are.
* * *
Melissa's Garden: Why don't you guys ever play "Is This The End" or "Inside Us All" or "To Whom It May Concern"??? The 3 best Creed songs and have never been played live, well.. maybe like 3 times, but Why don't you guys play em? Just don't sound good live?
SP: On occasion, from show to show on the Human Clay tour, we actually did perform those songs. You can never tell what the future will hold for the upcoming WEATHERED tour!
* * *
Super Creedo: If you could have ONE super-human strength what would it be and why?? Mark said the ability to stop time and Scott said to be able to read people's minds, so what's yours and why??
SP: The ability to self-replicate so I could be in 2 or 3 places at the same time. Or more!
* * *
HigherOne: i know that there is quite a difference in some of the drum parts between the BC One and the WU One... was it difficult to give up the original version? can you tell us a little bit of the process that goes into creating the drum lines to go with the music mark and scott write?
SP: When we were signed by Wind-up, as a band and with the blessing of the label, we felt like "One" and "Sister" would be better songs if we re-recorded them. Other than that, all of the other songs are the same between the Blue Collar version and the Wind-up version. Creating my drum tracks is a relatively painless experience. Scott and Mark come up with such great ideas that I get naturally inspired and initially don't have to put too much thought into them. However, as the songs develop I do try and spend a lot of time to be creative and not repeat myself from song to song.
* * *
Michael: Do you ever rock out to Creed music?
SP: Normally, once we finish a new album that's all we listen to for days on end. And at times yes, we do rock out to our own music.
* * *
CoffeandCreed: My son wants to know if you had fun playing... in the water in the "My Sacrifice" video. He wants to be a drummer just like you when he grows up. That is after he becomes the President!!!
SP: It was an absolute blast playing in the water. It reminded me of being a kid again. It was a little cold, but not unbearable. Your son has got my vote for President--we need a drummer in the White House.
* * *
Elleyshay: Just wondering if you played drums in high school or participated/or heard of DCI(Drum Corp International) before. If not, you should!! It will blow you away. big time!!!
SP: I have known about DCI for a long time, but in my high school days I was a sax player. But I'll definitely look into DCI.
* * *
Sandie: Kids?!? Do you plan on having any?
SP: One day we definitely plan to, but we're going to wait a few years. Got too much going on the next couple of years with the new tour. And Jagger is wearing me down enough! just kidding!
* * *
Super Creedo: Describe yourself using ONE word....
SP: fun-loving
* * *
lola1: Do you guys read all of these questions after you sign off? Too bad you couldn't answer them all.
SP: We try to read and answer as many as we can in the time alloted.
* * *
SB418: Hola Scottie! I wanted to ask you a question about touring, I know that you don't know what the tour schedule will be as of now, but I have a simple request... Having been a fan since the beginning, I am hoping that a possible return to Tallahassee may be in the cards for the next tour. You and Mark and Scott are definitely home town heros here in Tallahassee and everyone is proud of your success. I know that it isn't the biggest venue, but it would be so awesome if you played here sometime...well thank you, if you answer this question, it has been plaguing me for some time now I just want to give my deepest and most sincere thank you to you, for the music that you put out there to share with everyone. It is greatly appreciated
SP: We've been trying to plan a return to Tallahassee, but are waiting for the perfect time and the perfect venue.
